What we do.
What do we do? History of organisation.
Peta is a non-profit charity that started in 1980, March that saves animals that have been tortured through human companies like circuses and jacket factories. Three hundred people work for PETA in Virginia, USA and we have come up with a slogan.
"Animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, use for entertainment, or abuse in any way."
1,654,545,000,000 animals die a year through animal cruelty and 42,000 puppies die a year from abuse.
6-8 million animals are not picked up from pound a year. 560 species have been extinct from humans.
70 million animals die in u.s animal testing laboratories a year.
Every day in countries around the world, animals are fighting for their lives. They are enslaved, beaten, and kept in chains to make them perform for humans’ “entertainment”; they are mutilated and confined to tiny cages so that we can kill them and eat them; they are burned, blinded, poisoned, and cut up alive in the name of “science”; they are electrocuted, strangled, and skinned alive so that people can parade around in their coats;
