We are down to the last week of November before Thanksgiving Break! Please look over all the information that is being sent home this week. We look forward to seeing our families during The Thanksgiving Feast on November 20th. Please note the times and procedures for the feast below.

Thanksgiving Feast

If you are interested in coming before our Thanksgiving Feast to purchase lunch tickets and also get your visitor badge for that day, please stop in during school hours. You will need your driver's license to get your visitor badge.


Please join your student(s) for a delightful Thanksgiving lunch on Wednesday, November 20th. The luncheon will be held in our school cafeteria and the cost will be $4.25 per visitor (exact change is highly appreciated). We utilize an electronic check-in system at the school so please bring a driver's license for each adult. Plan to come a little early to expedite the check-in procedure. We look forward to you joining us here at Pioneer for this festive occasion.

Vision & Hearing Screening Volunteer

Monday, November 18 & Tuesday, November 19

We will be conducting a Vison & Hearing Screening and need a few volunteers to help make this a smooth process. Volunteers do not need prior experience.

Capital Campaign Volunteer

PTO is starting a capital campaign to raise funds for a new marquee for the school. We are looking for people willing to reach out to businesses to solicit sponsorship. We have a letter prepared to explain, and there are levels of sponsorship with rewards at each level. If you are willing to reach out to one or more businesses, email and we will provide you with all the information you need. Thank you!

Thanksgivng Luncheon: Lunchroom Helper

Wednesday, November 20

11:15am - 12:15pm (and/or) 12:15pm - 1:15pm

We are looking for extra hands in the lunchroom to make our Thanksgiving Luncheon a smooth success. Jobs include, tidying up, directing guests, and wiping tables. You will be helping in the school gym.

Thanksgivng Luncheon: Sign In Table

Wednesday, November 20

11:00am - 12:00pm (and/or) 12:00pm - 1:15pm

We also need volunteers to help at the sign in table. Duties include helping guests sign in and out during their time at Pioneer as well as directing them where to go. You will be located at the tables in the school lobby.

1st Grade Literacy Group

Ongoing, Weekly, Fridays

10:30am - 11:30am

Would you like to help make a difference in the lives of some adorable 1st graders? Volunteers spend time with a small group of students for literacy games. The teachers will have all materials for you. This is a weekly commitment. We need volunteers for Fridays.

Thursday Folder Parent

Every Thursday

Anytime before 3pm

Are you looking for a weekly way to get involved at Pioneer? Thursday Folders is a great way! We need a volunteer to take a 2nd grade classroom's Thursday folders. Jobs include coming each week on Thursday, getting the Thursday Folder bin from your teacher's room, filing teacher papers and weekly flyers in student's folders, and returning the bin to the classroom. This is a great help to the teachers.

Kindergarten Math Volunteer

12:25pm - 1:15pm

Weekly, you choose the day of the week

2+2=4! We have some very sweet kindies who could use extra hands with their math time. If you are available on a weekly basis and would like to help out, they would love to have you. Choose a day of the week that is best for you. We have M, T, W, Th, F open.

Save The Date!

Cimarron Middle School is hosting Coffee Talk opportunities for future 6th grade parents to gain more information about the exceptional student learning experiences at Cimarron Middle School for the 2020-2021 school year. These informal events will allow you to learn about our middle school academics, transitions, athletics and activities. Our chickens have had a visitor!

Recently, in the afternoons, we have had an orange cat jump the fence to our chicken area. The cat does not have any identification tags so we are not sure who it belongs too. If it continues, we will have to call animal control.
