LEARNING ACROSS BAKER PRAIRIE
BPMS BAND STUDENTS SHINE AT CONCERT
Tuesday, October 25 BPMS band teacher, Mr. Paulus and his band students held their first concert of the year. It felt AMAZING to have all the families join us! The students are doing a great job of learning their instruments/music and know now what it feels like to perform for an audience! Thank you to the families that came out to support our students. It would not have been possible without all your support.
TODOS JUNTOS
Todos Juntos partners with schools, local law enforcement, county agencies, and others to enhance local resources and services for youth and families (view a full list of our partners here). At Baker Prairie, Todos Juntos has been involved with after school clubs and activities from fall soccer to Future Business Leaders of America. This year, we are looking to include art, dance, volunteering and more as part of our after school program in partnership with the awesome Baker Prairie community. If you are an adult or work age sibling who has an activity you love to do and you would be interested in running a club, helping with an established club, or coming in as a visiting speaker/activity leader, please email amyj@todos-juntos.net to see if we can build that connection for our students. Please submit the following information if your student is currently participating in any of the activities or if they .
Fall Conferences: Student/Parent
Thank you to the students and families who were able to attend conferences. Being partners in your child’s education is one of the best gifts we can give them. This year 430 (81%) of our families were able to attend student-led conferences. This is an increase of 14% over last year. In addition, teachers held over 560 individual conferences. Again we thank you for your partnership and continued support of your child(ren)’s education.
Each month, Canby School District and the Canby Kiwanis Club will highlight a different school in our district and will recognize a staff member from that school with the CARE Award. Baker Prairie will be highlighted during the month of December. So, if you know of a(n) [school name] staff member who has made a difference in your life, the life of a child you know, or in the community, please consider nominating them for the CARE Award.
