It's been another great week in the forest. Please be sure to check our webpage for weekly updates/school evenings. Our first PTO meeting of the year will be held on Friday, September 11 and our first Parent Night Out will be hosted on Friday, September 18. Open house and our first professional development early release day are only 2 weeks away as well. Mark your calendars for our important dates:



September 9: Strategic Planning 7am - we are always looking for more parents to serve on this team. Please contact Helen Gross at helen.gross@onslow.k12.nc.us if you are interested in participating.

September 11: PTO Meeting 3:30pm

September 15: Boy/Girls Scout Regional Leader will be visiting all 1-5 classes briefly to explain program and distribute flyers.

September 17: Safety Drill with students 9am

September 18: 1st Parents Night Out hosted by our PTO!

September 21-25: Fall book fair

September 22: Open House 5-7pm

September 23: Early Release Professional Development - all students will dismiss at noon and lunch will be served.

September 25: PEP Rally - the K-2 and 3-5 classes with the most spirit wins free tickets for the Fall Festival!

September 26: Saturday Lowe's Food Sign-Up Drive 12-2pm - stop by and visit our table display! Also, make sure your Lowe's card is linked to CFIE!

October 2: National Custodian Appreciation Day - join us in thanking our custodians for keeping our campus clean & safe!

October 2: Fall Festival 5-7pm - Monies raised at this event go to support individual classroom needs.

October 12-16: National School Lunch Week - let's love our fabulous lunch ladies!

October 15: Safety Drill with students 9am

October 21: Early Release Professional Development - all students will dismiss at noon and lunch will be served.
