Branagan's Bulletin
Week of December 16 - 20, 2019
Hello Sachems! Welcome Back!
I hope all of you had a great weekend! It is amazing that we are on the doorstep to a well-deserved holiday break, which will begin at the close of school on Friday, December 20, 2019. I am so proud of the work that each of you is doing to help make our school the best it can be. This will be the final Bulletin for 2019. As I reflect on the last few months of the school year…I am amazed by the tremendous work that each of you have done both inside and outside of the classroom. I am very proud of each of you and your outstanding contributions to making our school even better. As we approach 2020…let’s be sure that the Giant that is Middleborough High School becomes even stronger of a school. As we enter a new decade...I want to be sure that each of you give the strength to our school to start 2020 off right. I know we can do this together! Remember…we are SachemSTRONG! Thankful for each of you!
As we close out this week of school...I have a few items of interest! So, here we go!
A special note of thanks and appreciation...
- To the MHS Band, Orchestra, Concert Choir and Sachem Singers for putting on an outstanding Holiday Concert on Wednesday evening! The guests were raving of the performances and I could not be more proud of each of you! You truly demonstrated the meaning of Sachem Pride through music and song. Good stuff!
- Congratulations to the STW for their outstanding Holiday Coffee House. The energy and pride coming from the Black Box was just awesome. So proud of you and this organization.
- Congratulations to all of our fall athletes who celebrated their outstanding seasons at the Sports Awards Night last week. Well done, Sachems!
- To the Student Council for their tremendous work on sponsoring the numerous projects to help our community during this time of giving. You collected enough food for the pantry and toys for the Giving Tree to help make the holidays brighter for many in our community. You gave so much…thank you!
- Thank you to Abby McCarthy for her leadership in the planning of the 12 Days of Giving! I hope you have taken an opportunity to make a difference by participating in these really wonderful events. Thank you, Abby!
- Congratulations to Hannah Stearns for signing her letter of intent to place lacrosse at Framingham State University in the fall.
- Thank you to the wonderful team of peer leaders who finished their World of Difference Training this week. We are looking forward to you training sessions in the spring.
- Thank you to the MHS Band, Chamber Strings, Concert Choir, Mandi Bukunt, Owen Kidd, Olivia Austin and Natalia Parkinson for their participation in the New High School Topping Off Ceremony on Thursday. Additionally, thank you to Student Council for serving as ushers for the event.
