Welcome Back to School

Dear AES Families,

I am so pleased to welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year. We are sending information about the start of school as it becomes available, and you can look for The Eagle Express on Fridays with timely school news. If you haven't had a chance yet, I encourage you to read the district's updated reopening and recovery plan found here. We plan on opening in the GREEN phase, so you can read all about it at your leisure. Below, I am addressing some specific information for you to know about AES for Kindergarten through grade 4 students. Preschool parents, I ask that you contact your child's teacher for PK specific information. See you on the first day of school - August 31, 2021.

Arrival & Dismissal

In the mornings, we ask that you complete the home screening procedure. We will continue using the drop-off and pick-up plan from last year. Between 8:20 -8:40 am. students will be met in their car, staff will screen students, and then the students will enter through the playground doors. At the end of day (3:25) students will be dismissed from their classrooms. We ask that parents use the PickUpPatrol App to let us know if your child is out or has a change in dismissal plans.

PTO Meeting

The AES PTO has a meeting on August 23rd from 10-11am on the playground. All are encouraged to attend.

Meet and Greet

We are hosting a casual meet and greet on August 30th. We invite K families from 3-3:30 on the playground, and grades 1-4 from 3:30-4:30. We plan to provide small group tours of the building, but you will have an opportunity to see and chat with the AES teachers on the playground. We hope to see you all there. Stay tuned for an Open House date to be planned in late September.

Bus Routes

The bus routes have been posted at this website. You can also find them on the quicklinks at the bottom of our school's website.

Welcome New 2nd Grade Teachers

Meet Mrs. DiFolco

I am Mrs. DiFolco and am excited to be teaching grade two here at AES this year! I recently moved to Peterborough, NH from Barrington, Rhode Island where I taught at the elementary level as a reading and writing specialist, first grade teacher and kindergarten teacher for over 18 years. My favorite thing about teaching is experiencing something new every day as children discover new things with great enthusiasm and wonder! Some of my favorite things are the beaches in Maine, the month of October and animals. I am looking forward to getting to know some favorite things about the students here at AES!

Meet Mrs. Sullivan

My name is Erika Sullivan and I'm a veteran teacher with 18 years behind me and many more to go! Born in Vermont, my family moved to Antrim where I grew up. I then attended Plymouth State University where I received my undergraduate in teaching and, most recently, my masters in Reading and Writing. I currently live in Peterborough with my husband and 16 year old daughter who is intensely involved with softball and volleyball. I am always thrilled to watch her play the sports she loves! I am excited about teaching in Antrim and look forward to meeting the families in the community!

Meet Our New Paras

I've been an elementary special education para for 16 years. I like to grow plants and go for hikes. I live in Peterborough and I look forward to the upcoming year! I'm Joshua LaBrecque.

Nexr week, we will introduce our new para, Ms. Crowell.
