Student Council Blanket Fundraiser

Student Council is partnering with Penny’s Purpose to support their mission to “learn to give, even when blessed with less.” Our goal is to raise money to purchase blanket kits or collect new blankets to help “Blanket Others in Kindness.”

We will be collecting monetary donations from November 8-18th. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if every family could send $1.00 or more to support wrapping others in kindness! Students may bring in an envelope labeled Blanket Drive. We will also have a donation box available at Student/Family Conferences.

In addition, families can also donate new blankets (i.e., twin, full or no-sew) until December 15th. The classroom who raises the most money or provides the most blankets will receive a special reward! If you have questions, please reach out to Mrs. Higginbotham or Mrs. Verner.

All blankets will be sent to local charities. Here is the organization's website if you would like to learn more: https://thepennyspurpose.org/

Please check out the video below from some of our student council members for more information!

Special Presentation

Some of Mrs. Henning's students were able to attend a Flipgrid Live Event about the book Change Sings by Amanda Gorman. They thought it was really cool to meet the author and illustrator.

Extra Masks

Please be sure to send your child with an extra mask or two in their backpacks. It is nice to have a spare for them, especially for the disposable ones where the strings can break easily. Thank you for your help!

Extra Clothes

If your child has room in their backback (especially for our little ones), you may want to consider putting a change of clothes in there. Accidents happen, and we do not have extra clothes to be able to hand out.
