Ojibwe Seasons - Winter

Luke Griffith

  • The kids played in the snow with toboggans, snowshoes, and snowflake game
  • Women dried meat over a fire
  • Men and boys hunted and trapped fresh meat

The Ojibwe had been preparing for winter the whole year, when it came the men and boys hunted while the women dried meat over fires, some winters when there was not much food they all shared with their neighbors.
