A Message from the Principal
February 28, 2022
Dear Holy Family Catholic School Community,
Lent is a time to prepare our hearts and minds for Easter and a beautiful chance to return to the Lord by moving away from many things that distract us from his Love. Jesus showed us that there is no Resurrection without the Cross, so let us each be ready to bear our own cross this Lent as we follow Jesus.
As we begin the season of Lent with Ash Wednesday, March 2, the Catholic Missions Committee is happy to offer a Lenten Packet to enrich your family’s Lenten season and help you intentionally dive deeper into the faith. These Lenten Packets will be coming home with your students today. Please take a moment to review the Packets with your student(s), and be prepared to begin this rich season of Lent on Shrove Tuesday.
Our accreditation process began yesterday afternoon when we welcomed our visiting Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops – Education (TCCBED) Accreditation Team to campus. We enjoyed a light reception with the team, Father Hoa, our faculty and staff, and our School Advisory Council members. Our new Superintendent, Brinton Smith, and Associate Superintendent, Melissa Kasmeier were also in attendance. The Accreditation Team will be on campus through Wednesday, March 2nd.
Thank you to all the parent, and student volunteers who came out on Sunday morning to prepare our field for the Softball and Baseball season! We appreciate you, Mr. Welch, Mr. Marbut, Mr. Hiett, Mr. Pierce, Mr. Rich, Mr. Circelli, Dr. Matasso, Mr. Roels, Mrs. Pierce, Mrs. Hiett, Ms. Barker, Tuesday Hiett, Sami Lopez, Mary Ellen Pierce, Addie Roels, Anna Stepczynski, Kaitlyn Szostek, and alumni Tyler Phillips for all your help!
Have a wonderful week,
Ann Walters
Principal
