March 1- Notice and Note with Kylene Beers and Bob Probst (8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)
The emphasis of this workshop will be the principles and strategies that will help all students read, even those who struggle the most with comprehending texts. We'll explore the big issues of today: reading nonfiction, close reading and asking text-dependent questions. Time will also be spent on the critical topics of engagement and lifelong learning.
March 3- World Language I.P.A. 2.0 (8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)
Attend this session to dive deeper into the development of Integrated Performance Assessments for World Languages. See and share examples of authentic resources with embedded culture. Collaborate and network with area World Language teachers to get new ideas, feedback and knowledge!
March 6 or 7-Strengthening Compliant, Results-Driven IEPs (8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.)
The focus of this session is learning to strengthen a compliant and results-driven Individual Education Program (I.E.P.). Acquire the language to develop accurate and student-centered results for IEPs. There will be specific emphasis on PLOPs (Present Levels of Performance), goals, Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) and Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).
March 7 or 8- RESA Task Webinar on Communication and Professional Growth (4:-00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.)
All Year 2 Resident Educators and Mentors, join this webinar for information on the Communication and Professional Growth Task of the RESA (Resident Educator Summative Assessment) that is required in Year 3 of Ohio's Resident Educator program. You will explore the tasks, rubrics and tools available on the Ohio RESA and Ohio Department of Education websites. Learn the types of supports to expect from your district in Year 3.
