chapin middle tardy policies

When a student is tardy to class:

1-2 Tardies – Verbal warning by Assistant Principal
3 Tardies OR more than 1 Tardy during the instructional day - Lunch detention assigned by Assistant Principal
5th Tardy – Parents notified by letter and phone call; lunch detention assigned and for each subsequent tardy
10th Tardy – Parents notified by letter and phone call; after school detention assigned and for each subsequent tardy
15th Tardy – Parents notified by letter and phone call; In School Suspension ½ day;
20th Tardy – Parents notified by letter and phone call; In School Suspension full day; 20 or more Unexcused School Tardies – Parent/Guardian will meet with School Counselor and Administration to create an Attendance Improvement Plan (AIP)
