A Peek at the Month:
August Mindset- Everything is Possible !
(7 Mindsets is a program that is used at SES that focuses on Social Emotional Learning and assists with creating meaningful conversations, connections, and relationships. This program is committed to developing whole teachers and whole students. For more information on this amazing program, please visit www.7mindsets.com. )
The Everything is Possible Mindset will orient us toward understanding the importance of and increasing the expectations we have for ourselves, our world, and the future. Essential to this will be the appreciation of our own creative capacity, the importance of maintaining a positive attitude, and the understanding that failure and setback are essential to accomplishing goals.
August 10-14 Orientation Week
Orientation Week is an extended Open House in an effort to provide the opportunity to families for some personal interaction with teachers and support staff.
Please note the following:
-In an effort to minimize the amount of people that are in the building and to limit the crowds within grade levels, please only come during your schedule day/ time.
-The dates/ times for Orientation Week will be August 10-14, 2020, 9:00am-12:00pm and 4:00pm- 6:00pm. (See below for your day and pick the time block that works for you!)
-Multiple sibling families, please come with the oldest grade level from 9:00am-12:00pm.
-Families are asked to not stay longer than 15 minutes.
-Only one person will be able to attend with the student.
-Non SES siblings are unable to attend Open House.
-Masks are required for everyone that enters the building (Adults and children).
-Students will be required to take a brief Health & Safety Training.
-Please follow the directional signs that will be around the building.
-Letters with homeroom teacher information were mailed this week.
-We will have faculty and staff available to assist with classroom locations.

Chromebook Returns- Please return borrowed Chromebooks from the March Technology Distribution to the school.
Before/ After School Program- Please have paperwork completed and payment to secure a spot.
Walker Tags- Please provide a valid license that shows that you live within a mile radius. Addresses in Infinite Campus are the only addresses that will be accepted. Each family will be issued one tag. Each additional tag is $5.00.
PTO- Take this time to meet some of our PTO members and join our PTO! Times- TBA
Car Rider Tags- If you would like for your child to be a car rider for the 2020-2021 school year, please pick up a car rider tag. Vehicles without a tag will not be able to pick students up. Each family will be issued one tag. Each additional tag is $5.00.
2020-2021 Lunch Forms- School lunch applications are also available online for parents to complete. Please complete your online form at www.myschoolapps.com
Student Belonging Pickup- If you were not able to pick up student belongings from the 2019-2020 school year, please visit this table to pick up student items.
Nurse Station- Visit this table to complete medication forms.
August 17
First Day of School
Per BCSS Guidelines, parents will not be allowed to enter the building to walk students to class.
We know that this is not how families preferred to start the school year, however, we will have tons of staff in place to assist students with locating classes.
SES will have two photo booths set up, so that you are able to capture those first day of school photos. Please practice social distancing while participating.
7:00- 7:45 am Yahoo, Boohoo! PTO will host parents outside at the far end of the bus lane as we kick off the 2020-2021 school year. Take this time to meet other Wildcat Families, some of our PTO members, and join our PTO!

(Students are not allowed to enter the building before 7:00 am)
Our Instructional Day starts at 7:30am.
*Due to COVID-19, we are not allowing visitors inside the building. We will notify all Wildcat Families once this changes.*
All Checkouts must be done before 1:15 pm. (See Handbook for Checkout Process.)
Transportation changes can only be accepted via written communication.
(Unfortunately, we are not able to accept transportation changes over the phone, fax, or email.)
