Inside Centennial Schools

Golden Lake fourth grade students showcase their amazing talents at their choir concert for fellow Eagles and families.

Seniors in the Economics/Political Science class participate in Project Based Learning units where they use economic principles to answer real world questions. In the “Food Court” unit the students are asked to choose five of 12 restaurants who have applied to be part of their high school food court. Students are expected to know demand, revenue, cost, profit, and opportunity cost in order to choose their five restaurants effectively. Each group presents their choices to staff volunteers who act as the "school board."

Superintendent Jeff Holmberg testified before the Minnesota House of Representatives Education Finance Committee in favor of House File 439: General education basic formula allowance increase of five percent per year for fiscal years 2024 and 2025 with future formula increases linked to the rate of inflation.
