Homework Helps and Hints
Middle of the year Reading Data-
Updated reading levels and word read per minute were graphed inside last week's data binder on the last 2 pages! Level K is the minimum expected level for the middle of the year. Students who are at or near the minimum expected level are most likely still having difficulties in reading and comprehension. We want them to be as far past the minimum level as possible to be ready for 3rd grade. Also, even though it might have the running man in the blue advanced area on the parent report that is coming home today, that does not necessarily mean your child is ahead of where they should be. mClass is an assessment to see who is at risk for reading problems. Children who fall into green or blue areas are children who are at less of a risk for having reading problems- it does not mean they are high ability or advanced for their grade level.Important Events
