Message from Principal Emily

Thank you so much to all of our Mighty Oaks families for helping make the first week of school a success! It was certainly not without glitches and a dramatic first day (thunder and lightning and fires, oh my!), but we have all persevered to make the best of a situation that none of us could have ever imagined!

I speak on behalf of the entire staff when I thank you for your patience, flexibility, and support. It takes a village to make it through the tough times, and I would not want to be the leader of any other village!

I appreciate each and every one of you!

School Site Council

Congratulations to our new parent representative on the School Site Council:

Scott Peterson

Alison Rice

Jessica Mew

Jennifer Brown

We still have one parent vacancy. After opening it up for volunteers, we have had several parents indicate interest. We will be opening up a separate election for this vacancy. Please click here to submit your vote for one parent to fill this position by Tuesday, August 26th.

Chromebook Tip

Is your child struggling with glitches during zoom meetings? The proximity of the Chromebook to your modem definitely makes a difference. When issues pop up, try moving closer to the modem. You should see an improvement in the connection.

Have other tech-related questions? Call the Tech Hotline Monday-Friday between 8:30-12:30 at (530)801-2716.

2020-2021 Free and Reduced Applications

Did you know that our CUSD funding is based on the information provided on the free and reduced applications? That means that it is much more than a lunch application! Even if you do not intend to utilize the school lunch program, the information you provide is super important in ensuring that we get the funding that we need to effectively educate our students. This funding does not go towards the Nutrition Services department, the funding goes to student needs on campus, salaries, equipment, and all things school-related.

The Nutrition Department has sent two flyers home and the back to school packet to each and every household. Please complete this information ASAP, if you have not already done so.

Here is a link to the application.
