Weekly Updates/ Reminders:
- It is mandatory that everyone is teaching the identified KCPS curriculum and that grade levels are working together in their PLC's to ensure they have like schedules and that daily objectives math one another and align to the Missouri Learning Standards.
- ACTION: Student goal setting should occur this week, both individual goals, as well as class goals should be set
- Please ensure that you are posting your daily attendance outside of your classroom door on your attendance frame. This should be a student job within your classroom, we want them to take ownership and see the importance of attendance.
- ACTION: It is mandatory that all classrooms send home optional homework on a weekly basis. This should be going home at the beginning of every week.
- Daily behavior sheets should go home each day to keep parents informed of their child's behavior on a consistent basis. This is an important communication tool between home and school.
- Standards and objectives must be posted and highly visible to students and guests. When posting your daily learning objectives, please also make sure that the standards you are writing the objectives from are also posted. This is a non-negotiable and will be expected.
- 6th Grade Student Ambassador training will start this week.
- No student should be in the hall alone at any time unless being sent by the office.
- All hallway bulletin boards must be high quality work and neatly displayed. Bulletin boards must contain the standard, learning objective and graded work with a rubric.
- Wildcat Paw incentive will begin this week, please make sure you have these ready to be picked up each Friday.
- Snack Packs will start this Friday.
- We will hold a COR tutoring training on Wednesday beginning at 4:30 in the library. This event will be a time for us to meet with this years volunatry tutors, explain to them our needs, have classroom teachers meet their upcoming tutors, tour the building and answer any outstanding questions they may have. If you are available please try and attend, this is a great time for you to begin connecting and building a relationship with your classroom tutors.

September is Attendance Awareness Month
Please make sure you are building this up with your students and explaining the importance of attendance each day.
You should have received an email from Ms. Schutte explaining our attendance incentives for the month of September.
Please be sure to check your mailbox for tickets--these tickets should be handed out daily to all students who are in the gym on time. We will have weekly bike drawings on Friday afternoons.
