We will begin the program at 2:40 pm. If you have a picture of a family member who has served in any branch, please send it to katherine.adams@gcisd.net by Monday at noon. World Pancreatic Cancer Day
Friday, November 13th
On November 13, 2015, Colleyville Middle School will unite the world to see purple to raise awareness of pancreatic cancer. We are encouraging everyone to wear PURPLE!! According to a global survey, 60% of people know “almost nothing about pancreatic cancer.” It’s time to start the global conversation.
On this day, we come together to draw attention to pancreatic cancer and highlight the need for greater awareness, funding and research. By standing together against this deadly disease, we hope to create a brighter future for people around the globe.
All week we will have announcements telling the students about our day of purple along with informing them about the disease.
Join the fight on November 13 by wearing purple and visiting
worldpancreaticcancerday.org to get involved
or go to pancan.org to find more information about pancreatic cancer

COLT CREW
The Colt Crew is made up of CMS dads whose mission is to meet and greet as many students as possible on Friday mornings so the kids can start their day off in a positive way with a handshake, smile, pat on the back and "have a great day" greeting! That's it….very simple.
This program provides a way for CMS dads to 'give a hand' with the kids at school. At the same time, they get to meet key CMS staff members and interact with other CMS dads.
The program is modeled off the successful Grateful Dads program at Grapevine High School that has already spread to Heritage Middle, Colleyville Heritage High, Timberline Elementary, Cross Timbers Middle, and Grapevine Elementary.
If you are interested in being part of the Colt Crew, please email Mindy McClure, CMS VP of Volunteers, at cmsptavoluntr@gmail.com.
