Relational-Based Discipline

Discipline Through a Trauma-Informed Lens

The Southern Indiana Education Center welcomes Tiffany Creager from INcompassing Learning to the region to guide teachers with this very important topic for all teachers, social workers, interventionists, and administrators. Participants will be invited to consider student behavior and student discipline through a trauma-informed lens. We will discuss preventative brain-aligned interventions with a goal of creating sustainable behavioral change. Strategies will include neuroanatomy instruction, relational practices, regulatory skill building, and restorative practices. Participants will be given the opportunity to discuss, practice, and plan how to best use these strategies in their classrooms. This session is too important to miss and will have a great impact on students and staff alike.
