Tip of the Week- Sharing Articles from Gale Databases through Google Classroom
- Sign in to Mackinvia with your same username and password you use for email. (CTE teachers enter any high school as your campus)
- Go to the Gale Databases
- Look for the databases that say "in context" at the end.
- Select an article you are interested in
- You will see a small, green "Share to Google Classroom" button at the top center of the screen.
- Students will be able to view the article, highlight it, make notes for themselves, LISTEN to it (IEPs anyone?), download and print it, and get this- the default choice for downloading an article sends it to their google drive. And it will save the article WITH all of their notes and highlights on it. And it will also save a citation for them in a separate document.
There are some really great databases that this includes too-
- Opposing Viewpoints in Context
- Student Resources in Context
- Research in Context
Give it a try!
