Brooker Creek Elementary
Hello Bobcat Families,
It was certainly an interesting week for all of us! We hope our entire Bobcat family weathered Eta well. Thank you for your patience and support during our early dismissal on Wednesday. We all got a little wet but everyone left the building safely.
Thank you so much for supporting the Jump Rope for Heart campaign put on through our PE department. Brooker Creek raised $2, 645.38 for a great cause. Our Bobcats enjoyed the program and learning about the importance of exercising to keep a healthy heart and having some fun with trivia regarding heart shape, size, and blood flow. This fundraiser was a huge success!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Stay well,
Jenn Mekler, Principal

MyPCS Picture Day
When you arrive for pictures, please park in front of the building and come to the front blue gate. Someone will take your child to get his/her picture taken and bring them right back to you.
Hearing and Vision Screening on November 17th and 18th
Per State Requirements, every student in kindergarten and first grade will have a vision and hearing screening. Every student in third grade will have a vision screening. Due to Covid-19, we did not have our vision and hearing screening completed for the 2019-2020 school year, therefore a vision screening will be performed on all 4th-grade students as well.
Please be advised that if you want your child to be excluded from any of these screenings, we must receive a written request from the Parent/Guardian, to the School, for the Attention of the School Nurse as soon as possible before this screening date.
Thank you!
Cafe Updates
We are continuing to ask our BCE families to preorder meals when possible. When parents spend a few minutes pre-ordering their child’s lunch, it allows our cafe team to plan ahead. These forms allow us to break the meals out by the teacher and have them ready when the students come into the lunchroom and reduce the amount of time they have to spend in line. Pre-ordered meals also help us to reduce waste by only making food that is needed based on the orders.
