Word of Encouragement - Romans 1:20
For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being
understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that
they are without excuse:
Letter from Sierra Rix, our new Support Representative
Hi CC families,
In the midst of snow days, sleet and sledding....I'm writing to you about next year.
Classical Conversations' local leadership is looking ahead to how we can serve our families in the coming months and year. This means we are looking at practicum planning and interviewing directors for our programs (F & E and Challenge). While every community has their own feel and flavor, a universal that we all share is the need for our parent volunteers to serve our communities. For some of us, that means tutoring, organizing moms' night out or field trips and, of course, directing. The gift of self is one that builds our CC communities.....and, to steal from a US govt campaign, "We need YOU!"
We are actively interviewing for Challenge directors in the area. The last few years has seen a boom of F & E families and their kids are growing up and into the Challenge levels. This is a beautiful process and one that I have loved being part of over the last seven years. I started CC as a mom of 5 kids, tutored, and am now in my 3rd year of directing Challenge A with my second born in my class.
I am writing to ask you, each of you, to earnestly pray for our communities in Bucks County. We need Challenge - specifically A - Directors for the fall. I am writing to let you know that you (yes, you) can do this and may very well be called to do so.
When I answered the call to direct, I had just given birth to my 6th child. I was nursing a baby, chasing 2 preschoolers, 2 in Foundations and Essentials (with severe ADHD), and my oldest in my Challenge A class. I was so worried about "finding enough" - enough time, enough patience, enough knowledge...but God provided and that first year was, in so many ways, less worrisome because I saw where we were headed - I caught the vision of the Challenge years and I have not looked back. My now 8 year old cannot wait to be in challenge. She has seen two sibling through and knows it is "Work, but REAL and INTERESTING work."
Directing Challenge A has been and continues to be one of the greatest blessings as I am truly the lead learner for my kids.
I would like to invite you to consider whether God is calling you to direct. Pray on it, talk with your spouse and current director and reach out to me with any questions.
Best to you all,
Sierra Rix

Week 14: The Most Amazing Place Award Goes to…
Tell your class about the most amazing place on earth. Think of volcanoes, sea vents, mountains, islands, states,
countries….you name it! Tell us about the climate and landscape. It could be a place you have visited, or one you'd like to go.
Week 15: Missionary
Tell us about a missionary you know, or one from the past. Bring a picture of them if possible. OR you could tell about a
charitable organization you have worked with before. What are some amazing ways God has used them where they are?
