Welcoming our student teacher

Perri Fuerst

Dear Families,

Hello! I would like to introduce myself. My name is Perri Fuerst and I am pleased to announce that I will be spending fifteen weeks with your children as their student teacher in Mrs. Lloyd's second grade class! I am currently working toward my Bachelor degree in Elementary Education, Writing Arts, and Special Education from Rowan University upon my completion of student teaching. My goal as being a student teacher in your children's classroom is to help your child succeed to their best ability, while learning new things from them as well as Mrs. Lloyd. Mrs. Lloyd will be under close supervision of my teaching and will be guiding me through numerous teaching activities and strategies.

My prior teaching experiences include working at the Montessori Academy this past summer, as well as multiple observations in various classrooms throughout my Rowan career. I also participate in clubs at Rowan such as the Elementary Education Club and the Special Education Club. Additionally, I am in the Rho Lambda honors society and made Dean's List multiple times throughout my college career.

During my time with your children, I plan to teach many subjects, with a main focus in Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. I will work nothing short of my greatest ability to make sure your children are succeeding, while having fun in the process of learning. I plan to go above and beyond to make sure each child's individual needs are met with the use of parent, teacher, and student communication. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, concerns, or interests in participating in my learning and teaching experience!
