Thomas Nast
Draws the World
THOMAS NAST OF COURSE!!!!!!! (early life)
Thomas Nast was born on September 27th 1840 in Germany. He practiced art when he was young. He got a job as a cartoonist for Harpers Weekly. He had 3 siblings but two of the three died before he was born. He was bad with learning in school. He went to multiple schools for drawing.
PROGRESSIVE OR NOT?!?!
What he drew made him a progressive. He would draw and point out what and who Boss Tweed really was and other things. In some cartoons he would support American Indians and Chinese Americans. He would also support the racial segregation. He started to draw about how Tweed stole money from people and the government and excepted bribes. One cartoon he drew of Boss Tweed ended up throwing him in jail.
THOMAS NAST COMPLEXTION!!!!!
Nast's great power!
NAST THE GREAT AND POWERFUL
His greatest accomplishment was drawing about Boss Tweed. His life's work would be his drawing.
THOMAS NAST!!!!!!! THOMAS NAST!!!!! TOMAS NAST!!!!!!!!
I wanted to pick this person (Thomas Nast of course) because he has always been my favorite cartoonist or progressive since I've learned about him in class. I like his style of art and what he draws about.
