2021-2022
Thank you for your support!
Thank you for all you do to support your child at DES! We will make every effort to retain extra supplies sent in for your child. Your child will need these supplies daily. Supplies will need to be replenished throughout the year. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's teacher or the school.
For the 2021-22 school year, CCPS will continue to provide hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes in each classroom.

Join me on July 20, 2021 at 6:00 PM for a Parent Feedback Meeting regarding the DES Title I budget and Parent/Family Engagement activities planned for the year. Your input is needed! Pre-Kindergarten
- 1 box tissues
- 1 box of baby wipes
- 1 box of Ziploc bags (gallon, snack or sandwich)
- 2 composition books
- 1 backpack (big enough to fit a folder and no wheels)
- 1 change of clothes (shirt, pants, socks and underwear)
Kindergarten
- 1 box tissues
- 1 box of Ziploc bags (Last name beginning A-M: sandwich size; last name beginning N-Z: snack size)
- 1 box of Ziploc gallon sized bags
- 2 compositon books (marble type)
- 3 large glue sticks
- 1 box of Classic Crayola markers
- 1 package of BLACK dry erase markers (fine tip)
- 4 boxes of Crayola crayons
- 1 plastic folder with pockets and 3 prongs
- Pencil box
- Playdough
- Number 2 pencils
1st Grade
- 1 spiral notebook
- Pocket folders with prongs (1 blue; 1 green; 1 red)
- 2 boxes of 24 count crayons
- Scissors
- 3 large glue sticks
- 4 BLACK dry erase markers
- 1 box of tissues
- Pencil box
- Pencils with erasers
- Ear buds/head phones for computer usage
- Boys: 1 box of sandwich baggies that seal; girls: 1 box of gallon sized Ziploc bags
Feel free to reuse items from last year. Please label your child's supplies with their first and last name.
2nd Grade
- 2 packs of #2 pencils
- 2 packs of 24 crayons (no markers or colored pencils)
- 1 pack of glue sticks
- Scissors
- Supply box, hard plastic with a lid (8 in x 5 in)
- 2 packs of thick black dry erase markers (EXPO preferred)
- Plastic colored pocket folders with prongs (1 red, 1 green, 1 blue, 1 yellow)
- 1 compostion book
- 3 boxes of tissues
- Earbuds or headphones (Make sure they are comfortable as they will be used daily)
- Ziploc bags: boys: 1 box of gallon bags; girls: 1 box of sandwich bags)
3rd Grade
- 2- 1" clear pocket front binders
- 4 pocket folders with clips
- 1 small pack of sheet protectors
- 1 composition book (marble type)
- Pencil case
- Crayons or colored pencils
- Sharpened pencils and/or mechanical pencils
- Erasers (1 large and 1 package of pencil top)
- 4 dry erase markers (Black please!)
- Scissors
- 4 glue sticks
- 1 large box of tissues
- 1 pack of dividers
- 2 highlighters
- Post-It notes (any brand)
- Earphones/earbuds
- Ziploc bags: last name A-M: gallon size; N-Z: sandwich size)
4th Grade
- 6 composition books (marble type)
- 5 plastic folders with pockets and prongs (2 for math, 3 for reading)
- 2 packages of 25 sheet protectors
- 2 packages notebook paper
- Crayons or colored pencils
- Pencils and a sharpener
- 2 packs of 4 EXPO broad tip dry erase markers (Black please!)
- 1 3 pack of 3x3 post-It notes (light color)
- 2 zippered pencil pouches
- 4 packets of 12 pencils
- 1 pack of cap erasers; 1 pack of large erasers
- 2 packs of multi-colored highlighters
- Crayons or colored pencils
- Scissors
- 2 packs glue sticks
Not permitted: Trapper Keepers; large ring binders; pencil boxes
5th Grade
- 2 1" binders for classroom use
- 1 pack of dividers
- 2 composition books
- 1 pocket folder with clips
- 2 packs of notebook paper
- 2 packs of wooden #2 pencils
- Highlighters
- 1 box of crayons or colored pencils
- Scissors
- 2 zippered pencil pouches that can clip into a binder
- 2 boxes of tissues
- EXPO dry erase markers (low odor)
