MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Since my first day here at Robinwood I have experienced such a positive family atmosphere. I look forward to keeping that momentum toward the positives and “rebooting” opportunities that come up. One opportunity that has come up is our mascot. I am very excited about expanding this theme and creating a mascot that is a tangible cat, similar to how the other schools in Franklin (Country Dale Cougars, Ben Franklin Bobcats, Pleasant View Panthers, and Southwood Glen Lions). Creating a mascot around a cat will allow us the opportunity to expand our excitement at school events, build community, create more spirit wear offerings, potentially have a mascot costume in the future, and relate to the other existing mascots within the Franklin Public School family.
Over these first two months of school, I’ve been getting some feedback from students on the type of cat they would like to see for Robinwood’s mascot. From that feedback, we have put the top 3 choices (Jaguar, Puma, Tiger) out for student vote on which feline they would like to see as our mascot. Classroom votes are due Monday (10/24) and after picking a cat, we will then work with a designer to create some logo choices. We want to make sure these new logos incorporate the ROAR meaning into the design. As a staff we are “rebooting” the ROAR meaning to encompass more specific attributes of our school community. Moving forward ROAR will represent Ready to Learn. Own It! Always Be Kind and Respectful. There will be more information to come on what each attribute looks like and sounds like at Robinwood. It has been exciting work with our school community to Reboot Robinwood!
