New Buckeye High School Daytime & Main Entrance
A special thank you goes to Mr. Glenn Reisner for his efforts coordinating the installation of the new entrance and security locks that have been installed as part of the project. We also wish to thank our building custodial crew for their work in painting and finishing the new entrance area.
The project was a result of funding secured through a state safety and security funding program that was accessed and applied for by Mr. Kent Morgan our district superintendent. You can also learn more about our safety and security measures in the video provided below.

Buckeye High School & Stand By Me Team Up For Food Pantry
Dear Buckeye High School Families,
We would like to thank you for your early support as we work to build a sustainable food pantry at Buckeye High School. An estimated 1 in 6 children or roughly 16 million American kids live each day in hunger. This is not only a problem in our nation but here in our local community as well. With that in mind Buckeye High School has begun work at creating a food pantry that will provide snacks and weekend meal bags to students who may benefit from such assistance. This past Friday evening we held a special food drop off event that was aimed at getting our food pantry up and running. We are pleased with the great level of donations so far but have much more work to do! If your family would consider making a small donation of food items or personal care products it would truly go a long way impacting our greater school community. We thank you for your support of this great program and we look forward to its successful launch here in the very near future!

Buckeye Alumni Spotlight: Dagmar Chapin
Buckeye High School graduate Dagmar Chapin selected for BGSU College of Business Student Ambassador Program. The College of Business at Bowling Green State University announced that Chapin has been named to the highly selective Student Ambassador Program. Dagmar is a 2018 graduate of Buckeye High School. “We are pleased to accept Dagmar into the Student Ambassador Program,” commented Dean Ray Braun. Chapin has been a highly engaged student in the College of Business. She is involved with Women in Business Leadership, Global Management Leadership Society, and now the Student Ambassadors.
Chapin has been academically successful as well, making the Dean’s Listin her first semester at BGSU. She is looking forward to completing a dual degree program this coming fall in Strasbourg, France. Student Ambassadors represent the College of Business by engaging with prospective students, current students, and alumni. In preparation for their role, Student Ambassadors complete a course focused on presentation and networking skills.
“I am thrilled to be accepted into the Student Ambassador Program, remarked Chapin. The
College of Business is amazing and I look forward to working with Dean Braun as a Student
Ambassador.” During her time at Buckeye High School, Dagmar completed her first year of college credits through CCP courses enabling her to start her BGSU experience with sophomore standing. The College of Business at Bowling Green State University is highly ranked as the 29th best public undergraduate business program.

Bucks Making a Difference in the Community
Buckeye High School students were very active this holiday season in using their musical talents to bring holiday spirit to those in Medina County. Mason Cutter, Marcus Keene, August Heath, McCallah Ferry, Zach Newell, and Gabe Virostek visited the Medina County Home to share their musical talents, vocal and instrumental, with the residents.
Buckeye students from Mr. King’s Modern Music class, Eddie Pinc & Johnny Pinc used their musical talents to entertain residents at Samaritan Care Center on Wednesday evening & patients and visitors to Medina Hospital on Sunday afternoon. They played a wide variety of Christmas songs on the piano including many holiday classics, Believe from The Polar Express, an upbeat version of Jingle Bell Rock, and a four hand duet of Sleigh Ride.
Buckeye Key Club members Danny Thoryk, Maddie Helwig, and Conrad went caroling throughout Medina to raise money to take disadvantaged kids Christmas shopping! Their efforts were greatly appreciated and are instrumental in helping to make our community a better place.
If you know of any Bucks making a difference in the community please do not hesitate to share their work with us! We are happy and proud to highlight all of the great things Buckeye High School students are doing to impact the community!
