Careers in Code

Susan Culkin

Product Designer

I design interactive products like web and phone apps, medical devices, kiosks, and interactive TV. My coding skills are very basic, but still I build some sites, like this one, for a charity: http://nashvillediaperconnection.org/. I usually work with rockstar developers on projects for cable companies, healthcare companies, musicians, and financial businesses. While I was at Cablevision in NY I designed the first app that allowed you to watch TV on an iPad. We created an app that allowed subscribers to do everything they can do on their cable-box on their tablet – record to their DVR, watch TV, set favorites channels, etc.
