Halo Highlight: Vitality Summit and Top Goals for Strategic Visioning
Dear Saints Families,
I want to first thank all of you who took the time to attend our Vitality Summit last night. Between our parents, faculty and other stakeholders, we had nearly 100 participants!
As you may recall, our faculty and staff have been working hard these past few months on strategic goals in six key vision areas: Mission and Catholic Identity, Governance and Leadership, Academic Excellence, Operational Vitality, Student Experience and Facilities.
Attendees at our Summit had the opportunity to view the 20 goals that have been created, meet in small groups to discuss strategies and tactics to accomplish the goals in a specific vision area, and then as a whole group vote on the school’s top priorities. (The 20 goals can be viewed here.) Four goals received the most votes and stood out:
4. Regardless of grade classification, to create a sense of camaraderie, belonging and respect among students. (Student Experience, Goal #1)
3. To support and encourage innovative and collaborative teaching as well as professional development of new and returning faculty to support a culture of continuous improvement. (Governance and Leadership, Goal #2)
2. To create an instructionally supportive environment for our students - to form a plan that will allow us to remove mold, improve cleanliness and install an HVAC system that works consistently. (Facilities, Goal #1)
1. To provide clearly articulated, aligned standards for instruction across the curriculum. (Academic Excellence, Goal #2)
In the coming weeks we will finalize our strategic plan and begin the most important part: implementation. Thank you for your support in this process, and we look forward to everyone joining together to ensure the goals we have set become reality!
God Bless,
Andrew R. Bradley, Principal

Transitions Program Runs Gently-Used Uniform Store
Did you know that our Transitions students run a gently-used St. Louis Catholic uniform store? We accept all school uniform pieces. The Transitions students look for any stains to spray before washing and drying the uniforms in the Home Ec kitchen. Then we button, zip, fold, sort and sell the uniforms for only $5 or $10 a piece! This project provides practical practice of our life skills, vocational skills, social skills and math skills lessons.
All incoming freshmen in 2019 are required to purchase St. Louis Catholic uniforms from Southern Drifter to comply with our new visual identity (more information in our visual identity packet here). However, we do have skirts and pants that remain the same for incoming freshmen.
Seniors, as you complete your finals and move forward on your journey, please drop off your extra uniforms to our collection box in Mrs. Owen’s room or to the Transitions classroom. All other students, please donate any uniform pieces you have out-grown this year and please consider shopping in our store! We have very friendly workers! Parents, our Uniform Store is open during the summer. Please contact the Office for assistance. Thank you for supporting our learning!
