StuCo Coat Drive & Money Collection
They have already began collecting money and will do so through this Friday, October 30, during 1st period.
Here's what this money goes towards:
1. Coats for students in our district (pre-k through 4th) who need one. Last year theybought nearly 40 coats and this year they are expanding the number of grade levels.
2. StuCo blesses our cafeteria staff and custodians with food baskets around Thanksgiving and possibly Christmas.
3. They are planning to give a donation to Love and Care Ministries and the Abilene Animal Shelter this year. These were the two most requested organizations. Due to COVID, we cannot collect items for these organizations.
Now here's the incentive:

Students have been caught
Keaton Bryant, Garrett McMurtrey, Audrey Atchinson, Jacob Garrison, and Justin Myers were CAUGHT being a Bulldog! These students were nominated specifically because of their kind actions, positive attitudes, and helpful spirit.
One of these students wrote over twenty encouraging notes to hand out to students to make their day a little brighter. Another student goes out of their way to hold the door open for other students, one is always lending a helping hand to their peer, and another lights up a room with their smile every day.
Have you caught someone being a Bulldog?
Have you caught a student or a WHS staff member "Being a Bulldog"? We want to hear about it!
What is being a Bulldog? The American Kennel Club describes a Bulldog as kind but courageous, full of tenacity, friendly, and loyal companions. It is fitting that we are the Wylie Bulldogs because those are the qualities we strive for our campus to exude.
We believe that it is important to recognize those that are examples of kindness, friendliness, loyalty, and courage. Students and staff members can be nominated by students, staff, and community members. It is the hope of WHS that Bulldogs will inspire other Bulldogs to continue to show these characteristics. Nominate someone here!
