Reminders
Important Safety Guidelines
- As a safety reminder, school doors unlock each morning at 7:00 AM. Students should not be dropped off before this time as there is no supervision available.
- It is very important that all students arrive to school on time. If you arrive after the 7:40 AM tardy bell and there is no staff at the drop-off area, you must park and walk your student to the front door and sign them in with the front office. It is also vital that all students are picked-up on time at the end of the day.
- Our goal is to ensure safety and minimize disruption to the instructional day. We respectfully ask that students not be signed out from 2:15 PM until the dismissal bell at 2:55 PM. We encourage you to limit picking up students early whenever possible.
- Last minute calls for student transportation changes received at the end of the day present a safety concern. If your student has a change for their way home, please notify the teacher and/or office, in WRITING, no later than 2:00 PM.
- In order to maintain the safety and security of all Huebner students during afternoon pick-up, we ask that all parents remain in their car and follow the traffic pattern for pick-up. Car rider dismissal hang tags are require for all students.
- All parents and guardians who come to our campus will be asked to present a valid government or state-issued ID. Students will NOT be released without proper identification being presented.
- During this unprecedented pandemic, we ask that ALL parents wear a mask while conducting business at our campus (dropping off/picking up students, dropping off items, etc.).
Dismissal Changes
To our parents who pick up their children from school, please wear a mask if you choose to walk up to the crosswalk. Wait at the crosswalk with your car tag and we will send your child to you.
Dear Families,
Please make sure your child has a water bottle, no juice inside the bottles, when they come to school.
The students may fill up water bottles during the day at the classroom sink. We have snack time each day after our recess time at 8:45. Snacks should be able to be eaten in about 5 minutes. Snacks should be a dry snack such as goldfish, popcorn, crackers, or cereal.
We have started homework. Inside our behavior folders you will find a behavior chart sheet, a reading log sheet, and a homework packet. The homework packet will be due the following Monday. We are asking that our students read 100 minutes each week. Write down the title of the book, how many minutes read, and a parent's initials are required.
Along with that practice math facts. If you don't want to make flash cards they can be easily purchased at The Dollar Tree.
Don't forget to check Skyward for grades. If your child receives a grade below a 70, please redo the work with your child and return for a grade of a 70.
