Lenoir County is a county located in North Carolina.The population is about 59,495. Its county seat is Kinstin, located on the Neuse River, across which the county has its territory. Lenoir County was formed in 1791 from Dobbs and named after William Lenoir. The county seat is at Kinston and Lenoir County is bordered by Jones, Craven, Pitt, Greene, Wayne & Duplin counties.
