BECS Parent Newsletter
April 22, 2022
Dear Hawk Families:
This week has been full of celebrations. The theater group has had outstanding performances, the kids are rolling through CMAS testing, athletics are having great success in growing in their teamwork, and the staff has been busy preparing for field trips coming in the next few weeks. The halls are buzzing with hard work, collaboration, and teamwork, and we could not be more proud of the work the students and staff are doing.
Spring is here and we hope that you get a chance to get outside and enjoy the beautiful Colorado weather.
Please help me wish our 6th graders a wonderful trip as they head to Outdoor Ed on Wednesday.
Have a great weekend!

Executive Director Search Process Update
We are excited to be moving forward with our search for Bromley East’s Executive Director.
In-Person Interviews
The search committee met with candidates last week and moved two candidates forward to the final interview, taking place on Monday, April 25. We were very impressed with the candidates and are excited for you to meet them next week. Unfortunately, one of the candidates withdrew their application, which is disappointing. However, as we all know in any job search, candidate withdrawal is normal; although disappointing, it does not stop us from continuing forward.
Finalist, Carrie Dewaters, will be joining us on campus next Monday, April 25 for an interview with the Board of Directors and search committee, as well as a meet-and-greet with parents, teachers & staff, and time with students. We highly encourage you to attend the parent meet-and-greet from 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm on Monday, April 25 in the auditorium so that you can hear directly from the candidate. If you would like to submit a question for the candidate to answer at the meet-and-greet, please submit it here by Monday, April 25 by 9 am.
We hope to see you Monday!
Hawk Hero Parking
Please be aware that the Hawk Hero parking spot is reserved for staff that have been given that award for the week. Parking there does not allow them to enjoy that special time to park up front. Thank you.
Medication Pick Up
May 27th from 12:30 pm-3:30 pm Ms. Vanessa will be on site for you to pick up your student's medication before the building closes for the summer. Should you have any questions please reach out to Ms. Vanessa at vromero@bromleyeastcs.org
Pastries with the Principals
Would you like to hear more about what is happening at BECS? On May 6th from 8:45, am-to 9:30 am our two amazing Principals will be offering up some yummy pastries and time to chat. Please RSVP using this LINK so we know how many treats to have. Hope to see you there!
PTO Updates:
Wanting to get more involved with school events? PTO has some real treats in store for the 2022/2023 school year and is currently forming committees. If you are interested in learning more please email Lindsey Saldivar at lindsey@becspto.org the Volunteer Coordinator for PTO.
Staff Appreciation is coming
If you are looking for a gift idea to give your student's teacher for Staff Appreciation, the Scholastic Books Company offers eGift Cards. Teachers love getting items for their classrooms to build their book selection. This also goes along with our goal to get more books in the hands of every student.
Student Fees
Please make sure you are checking your student’s fees here-WebStore. As we near the end of the school year all fees need to be paid online and in full. Should you have any questions regarding your student’s account please reach out to Sam French sfrench@bromleyeastcs.org or 720-685-3297
Fees should be paid online through our webstore by following the link below.
Summer Tutoring
Great news, parents! We are offering summer tutoring sessions based on the preferences of the teachers and families. Tutoring will be provided as an independent service between you and a Bromley staff member. Please see below for a description of what the tutoring entails and complete the Google Form if you are interested in having a Bromley staff member tutor one or more of your children.
Technology:
The end of the year is nearing. Please make sure all devices have their cases attached to the device.
Devices, cases, and cords will be handed in at the end of the year. Students will also be asked to fill out a device assessment form. If devices, cases, or cords are missing or damages are present your student will incur a fee for the replacement/repair.
Theater:
"Thank you so much to everyone involved in this year's Spring Musical "Big Bad." It was a wonderful success and we are so grateful for the support in getting this program back up and running. Thank you for supporting the arts at Bromley!" - Lauren Warner, Theater Director
