Myrtle Wilson, 35, of Long Island, NY died last night on June 21, 1922.
Married to her husband, George Wilson, she passed away when she was hit by a car after running out onto the road. Her husband worked as a mechanic while she prefered to go to parties with her friends. She will be greatly missed by her husband and close friends as a funeral is being prepared for her. It will be held a week from now on June 28, 1922 at Nassau Knolls Cemetery at 5 pm. Condolences can be sent to George Wilson, whose residence is located at his auto shop in the Valley of Ashes.
“Myrtle Wilson, her life violently extinguished, knelt in the road and mingled her thick dark blood with the dust” (Fitzgerald 137).
