COUNSELOR'S CORNER
Counselor Update
November is a busy month in the Counseling Center. Counselors will be conducting makeup sessions over the next two weeks for 8th graders who were absent for four-year planning.
On November 10th, counselors will present a zoom lesson on resiliency during advisory period.
On Thursday, November 18th, counselors will host our second Coffee Talk covering Parenting Strategies for Teens in the LGI at 8:05. This session will be in-person with a live Zoom link. Link will be sent via a separate email.
Lastly, Generation Texas Week is November 15-19. We will have the following themed days in conjunction with Gen Texas:
Monday: Dress Texan to kick off Gen Texas week.
Tuesday: Wear college shirts.
Wednesday: Wear a TWHS shirt to transitions day.
Thursday: Wear camo to highlight military and trade/technical schools.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR EXTRA HELP
Morning Tutoring
PAWS After School Tutoring Mondays through Wednesdays
What: An after-school study hall where students can have time specifically set aside to complete their homework or get help in different subjects. We will have McCullough teachers available to help.
Where: PAWS is held after school in the downstairs library.
When: Monday-Wednesday from 4:10-5:00 beginning on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021
What should I bring? Come prepared with homework and any supplies you might need. Be sure you have enough to work on until 5:00. Students will not be dismissed early from PAWS and must remain in the library the entire time.
How do I get home? A parent or guardian must pick you up at 5:00 p.m. at the front of the building when PAWS is over. There is no late bus. All students from PAWS will leave together and go to the covered horseshoe at the front of the building to wait for their ride.
