National Each Person is a Person of Worth Day
National Each Person is a Person of Worth day falls every year on March 24. This day aims to get people to recognize the worth of themselves and everyone around them.
WHY NATIONAL EACH PERSON IS A PERSON OF WORTH DAY IS IMPORTANT
It reiterates everyone's worth
This day is an opportunity to have conversations and acknowledge the worth and value we see in everyone around us. This can help us build understanding and empathy for others.
It builds a stronger society
When people are kinder to each other and can see other people's worth it can help foster a loving, supportive, and enriched community filled with happy and confident people.
We build our own self-worth
As we lift others up, we begin to realize that we too, deserve the same consideration. Learning about worth and self-worth can in turn teach us to acknowledge our own strengths and build our self-esteem.
This day can spark important conversations with your children. Who do your children come into contact with everyday, at school or in the community? Can your child identify the importance of each of these people? This is a great opportunity to model these thought processes for your children.
