Graduation Social & Year 7/8 Awards
On Thursday evening we held our 2021 Graduation Social. This looked a little different this year thanks to COVID restrictions but none the less the Rec Centre looked amazing, undergoing a transformation befitting the ‘Luau theme.’ and we were excited to have been able to enjoy the night with our 'Big Kids'.
This night is a celebration of our Year 8 students moving on to college and an opportunity to showcase their newly learned dancing skills. Our beautiful young ladies and handsome young men made us all very proud. A special mention to Imogen Clewlow who delivered a delightful valedictorian speech, capturing special memories of her time at Stanley Ave. Thank you to the staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes and on the night to make this happen for our Year 8 leavers. A huge thank you also to Tristan Thomson, our photographer, who for the past three years really has gone the extra mile to create wonderful memories, and to the Te Aroha Racecourse and Jen for the use of their tables and chairs.

Thank you Chippy Lunch
It is important for us to acknowledge the hard work and commitment that these students have shown over 2021 as, without them, day-to-day school life would be so much more difficult. With the help from these wonderful young people, the school is able to offer so much more to our students. Thank you again.
Fantastic Fun Day
On Tuesday 14th December we are holding a Fun Day at school as we were unable to hold our picnic day at the pools. This will be a great day for the students, if the weather allows.
The day will include some wet activities as well other fun activities. As the children will be doing this outside we are happy for the children to wear mufti and to also bring their togs, towel, and a change of clothes. They will still need their sunhat and sunscreen applied.
For lunch we will be having a sausage sizzle and ice blocks. This may be enough for our smaller eaters but some of our hungrier growing children may want to bring other food to fill up on.
Unfortunately in accordance with Covid guidelines, Parents are unable to come to this event on school grounds.
