Corron Mission Statement
From the Principal
Next week will mark the end of my 30th year as an educator. When I started as a 5th grade teacher in the early 90s, the internet was still being developed. Email wasn’t a thing yet, and there was only one phone available for staff members to use to call parents. If someone had told me what education would look like in 2022 there is no way I would have believed them. The amazing things that our students and staff are doing on a daily basis are leaps and bounds beyond what I would have ever imagined. Students are finding authentic ways to use their learning to engage in the work that interests them. They are reaching out to community resources to find ways to support them. They are finding ways to communicate with the school at large in order to deliver positive and affirming messages. I have never seen such ownership and pride in a group of students as I have this year. I am beyond proud of their hard work, creativity, collaboration and resilience over this past year!!
I hope all of our Corron families have a summer filled with incredible experiences and adventures!
