Data Science is Fun!
Students in Mrs. Fearing's math groups are learning to create surveys and chart data. Who said math can't be fun?! In December they created 16 surveys and collected over 300 responses from the community. Currently, they are working on communicating their results through graphical representations.
5th grade student, Aidan, is sharing what the most popular pets are in our community. Students are also researching information to share that is related to the most popular responses to their surveys.Take a look at Aidan's pet survey data and fun facts below.

Room 2 Engineering with Project Lead the Way
Students explore the ways robots are used in today’s world and their impact on society and the environment.
Students learn about robotic components as they build and test mobile robots that may be controlled remotely.
Students are challenged to design, model, and test a mobile robot that solves a design problem.

Physical Fitness Testing
In the month of February students in 5th & 7th grade will be tested on physical fitness. Attached is information regarding the California Physical Fitness Test and FITNESSGRAM. Please help your students understand the importance of being physically active and healthy.
March 27th Deadline for IntraDistrict Transfers
Do you know a family interested in transferring their students to Mountain School? Please let them know they need to pick up an intradistrict transfer form from the district office or the Mountain School office. Forms are due to the district office by March 27th. We have limited spots available for next year in grades K-5. Spread the word! (If you were previously approved for a transfer to Mountain you do not need to complete the process again)
