Bronco Bulletin Faculty Newsletter
May 18-22, 2020
Updates and information...
Faculty and staff,
It's so weird to think this is the last week of our school year. In so many ways, we were cut short and not able to do so many things that we normally do. What I'm choosing to focus on is the positive. We came together as a faculty and I'm honored to be a part of this family. I know that we really will get our #bestyearever next year. As teachers, we have to remember what it feels like to do something outside of your comfort zone and put ourselves in the place of being a student. Through the upcoming PD and trainings, you'll remember what it feels like when you need guidance and help. Great things to remember and carry over next year when we're back with students. We will keep you informed as they begin waxing and remember to get started on your trainings and certifications. We will be able to help soon. Thank you for everything that you've done this year! We've definitely made some memories that will last a lifetime. For our friends who are leaving us, we wish you the very best and hope that your new families welcome you and make you feel as special as you are to us. We wish Mrs. Achord, Mrs. Davenport, Mrs. Fouquet, Ms. Gary, Mrs. Texas, Mr. May, and Ms. Wendy W. a Bronco goodbye!
We have notified all parents of student retentions and we have made all calls for students eligible for the summer enrichment program. I've sent emails to teachers about verifying grades but there are a few issues that we are still working on and will let you know when to verify.
Info that was included in Parent Newsletter:
Parents,
Well, it's hard to believe that we are at the last week of the school year. This year has definitely not ended how anyone could have imagined and we are all missing our students. Please remember the pick up times for student materials this week. Remember that our office is closed so please call for any info that you may need. If we are not in, please email me and I'll get back in touch asap. The teachers will stop posting assignments to their websites but students can continue to access Moby Max throughout the summer. We encourage you to let them do Moby Max a few times a week to keep those brains working. If your student has library books to return, there will be a box outside the office during the hours we are open Mon to Thurs 8-2. Please place the book in the box and we will empty the box each day. If your student takes medication at school and you have not arranged to come pick it up, call the office to arrange a pick up time.
To our fifth graders, we are proud of your work and we know that you will enjoy your junior high years. We are ready to hear about all the great things that we know you will accomplish. If you haven't registered for your elective, please visit https://www.walkerfreshmanhigh.org/ and do that asap. The registration window closes this week.
Report cards will be mailed to the address on file on June 2nd. If you have moved and are no longer going to attend South Fork next year, you can call to give us your new address to have your report card mailed. If you have moved and will still attend South Fork, you can call and give us your new address and arrange to come by and bring in your new proofs of address for us to copy for your student's files.
PK and K registration is soon so get your materials ready to help registration go smoothly.
See details below. Don't want until then to locate important materials. Start preparing now!
Please check our website and FB page to see updated information. I will not post weekly newsletters during the summer but will begin newsletters before the beginning of next school year.
We will be buying school supplies for next year so you don't have to worry about fighting crowds to buy supplies this summer. Parents of K-5th grade will pay $50 per student and we will have everything ready for your student at school. PK students will pay a $35 supply fee.
