LION ROAR

Celebrating Week 1 at school

Dear Lions,

It was incredible being on site this week seeing all our scholars and staff together, building community and setting up for the year ahead. We have got our morning routines down, with mask check, temperature check, and hand sanitizing. Please note that next week, Lions will be asked to wipe down their station in the classroom with a wipe before leaving the classroom.

Thank you for your flexibility and patience as we changed some schedules this week. Some students were. not in the right classes and we also want to balance classes out. All changes should be completed by next week.

Next week, we will have our first town hall on Friday. We will change the schedule so that Advisory meets in the morning. You will be informed about the schedule change on Thursday during Advisory.

A few reminders for next week: be ready to turn your phone in at the start of class to the cell phone hotel. If students do not turn their phone in, they will be asked to bring it to the office for the period and we will make a phone call home. Students are less distracted when cell phones are tucked away. LVLA is a closed campus. We can not have deliveries from DoorDash or other food delivery sites. Families can drop food off in the lot or come to the main office to bring their child food.

Get ready to smile! You will take off that mask for picture day. It will be held next Friday. If you want to order your photos, you will be able to order them online.

I hope that you all have a great weekend. Get some rest. I know that adjusting to a school schedule is challenging.

In community,

Ms. Silb

Principal
