Hello Bushnell Families~
I had a blast dancing on the roof for your kiddos! See the pictures and videos below! This was our first PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Support) Celebration, which we will do monthly. We are consistently and intentionally pointing out the things your child does well. As a school our celebrations are a time to gather together, have some fun and show our kids that they are awesome!
Fundraiser Update! We have given away 3 of the 4 cash filled refrigerators. We have one more to go and also the $250 Amazon gift card! Thank you so very much for all of the support! When we finalize our donations I will let everyone know how much Bushnell has been gifted as well as our specific plans for spending. The link will be open until October 7th if you are still interested in helping out!

On Friday each teacher will be rewarding 2-3 students in their class with our September Bushnell Bear Awards! If your child is selected, they will receive a certificate and also a miniature stuffed bear. This is acknowledgement of a students' citizenship and demonstrating respectful, responsible safe behavior at Bushnell. I can't wait to gather these friends together!
Did you know that our building is looking for parent volunteers? In order to volunteer at school there is a district clearance form as well as a volunteer code of conduct form to sign. We can always use extra hands for classroom projects, special activities, reading with students and other teacher requests. We could also use volunteers in our media center! Please stop in the office for the forms if you wish to take advantage of these opportunities. Keep in mind that it takes about a week to return the district clearance required in order to start helping out!
The weather is certainly changing! Please dress your children accordingly. It's helpful to have layers so they can bundle up on the chilly fall mornings and also remove layers for the warmer afternoons. You might also want to practice zipping, buttoning and snapping if your little one struggles with those types of fine motor tasks.
