Friday Focus

Moreau Heights Elementary

January 4

Giving our students HOPE for a better tomorrow one skill at a time!

Charge!

I am reading an amazing book, Culturize by Jimmy Casas. I will be sharing bits and pieces of this book as I read and grow myself.

Culturize: To cultivate a community of learners by behaving in a kind, caring, honest, and compassionate manner in order to challenge and inspire each member of the school community to become more than they ever thought possible.

"Everyone here has the capacity to lead, and everyone here is responsible for the culture and climate of your organization. No one person is responsible for determining your success or failure but you, and no one is responsible for your morale but you."

  • What action will you take the support our culture and climate in a positive way?
  • How will you set the tone for morale?

PBS lesson

The focus this week is on how we address issues in our daily interactions. These are important lessons that will require some discussion with the class.

  • How will you set the tone for positive interactions in your classroom?
  • How will your response to students support positive relationships?

Our Second Steps. . .
