Welcome Back

We hope that you and your family have enjoyed your summer vacation. We have been hard at work preparing for the upcoming school year and are excited about the student's return. We're getting ready...we hope you are too!

Meet the Teacher

Silk Hope School will be holding our annual “Meet the Teacher” night Thursday from 5:30-7:00 for students in 1st-8th grade. Class lists will be posted at 5:15pm. Bus information will be available in the school cafeteria.

Kindergarten will host a “Meet the Teacher” night August 29 from 5:30-6:30.

Fall Sports

Fall sports sign up sheets for Girls and Boys Cross Country, Girls Softball, and Boys Soccer, have been posted on the middle school bulletin board. Please be reminded that physicals must be submitted to the school before a student can tryout. If you are in need of a physical form please stop by the front office or visit the SHS website to download a copy of all necessary forms.

Supply List

Supply lists were sent home with report cards and they are also posted on the Silk Hope School website. Please remember, students do not have access to microwaves in the cafeteria during lunch. While you are purchasing school supplies you may want to look for insulated food storage containers.

First Day of School

The first day of school will be Monday, August 27. Our school day begins at 7:55 and ends at 2:55. It is extremely important that your child arrive to school on time each day and remain at school until the school day comes to an end.

National Winners

Congratulations to the Silk Hope School Jr. Beta Club for their 2nd place finish at the National Jr. Beta Club Convention in Savannah, Georgia earlier this summer. The Silk Hope Battle of the Books team was comprised of Mattie Crowder, Hailey Pelletier, and Kayleigh Smith. We are proud of the girls and their hard work. They are three of the many students who make Silk Hope School SOAR!

Summer Learning Challenge

We hope that you have been reading over the summer. Don't forget to bring your summer learning logs to school. All reading logs must be turned in by Friday, August 31 in order to qualify for the summer learning prizes.
