Trombly Terriers Taking Care of Business
June 3, 2019
Dear Trombly Families,
During the annual Fun Run Fundraiser back in the Fall, PTO set a goal of raising $20,000. If the goal was met, an all school party would be held in the spring. Well, we not only hit the goal, we exceeded it. In any case, that party will be happening this Thursday June 6 at Windmill Pointe Park beginning at 4 and ending at 9. There will be food, refreshments, games and more. We are hoping to see as many of you as possible. Please consider stopping by and stay for as long as your family calendar allows.
As an added bonus, the organizers have been able to secure the movie theater for a couple of movie showings for our students. In order to accommodate all the Trombly students, there will be two showings. The first showing is at 3 PM and the second is at 430 PM. More information will be coming in another communication including the movie title.
A Reminder....
Thursday, June 13 and Friday, June 14 are both half days. Students will be dismissed at 11:36 AM. Kids club is available until the normal time on Thursday, June 13. However, no Kids Club in the afternoon on the last day of school, June 14.

Student Leadership Team collecting Pop Tabs
Little things can have a big impact!
The Trombly Student Leadership Team is still collecting pop tabs. Please turn them into the office by June 7. The tabs will then be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
So spread the word! Let your family and friends know their small pop tabs can make a big difference.
- Thank you from the Trombly Student Leadership Team!
Leader in Me - Habit #7 - Sharpen the Saw
Habit 7 reminds us that we are more productive when we are in balance; body, brain, heart, and soul. If one area is being ignored or overused, the remaining three areas will feel the results. A good analogy for children is: a car needs all four tires and as leaders of themselves, they need to take care of all four parts.
Thank you for your partnership in reinforcing your child’s leadership skills.
Camp Invention is Returning to GPPS!
In partnership with the National Inventors Hall of Fame® (NIHF), Brownell Middle School is pleased to offer the nationally acclaimed Camp Invention® program to children entering kindergarten through sixth grade. It’s an exciting, weeklong summer adventure with lessons that explore connections between science, technology, engineering and innovation. Children work together to create solutions to real-world problems and build critical 21st-century skills while rotating through several high-energy, hands-on modules. The week begins on June 24, 2019 with Caitlin Kefgen serving as Director of the ALL-NEW 2019 program, Supercharged!
Activities give participants the opportunity to explore, discover and achieve while having fun!
Local educators facilitate program modules and enthusiastic high-school students serve as Leadership Interns, ensuring that one staff member is in place for every eight children.
Every registration includes a complimentary Camp Invention t-shirt. Availability is limited, so visit www.invent.org/camp or call 800-968-4332 to secure your child’s spot today!
