Red Ribbon Week Festivities
*4th Grade- Focus on Tobacco
*5th Grade- Focus on Alcohol
*6th Grade- Focus on Inhalants (Especially common hazardous products such as paint, sharpies, expo markers, cleaner, etc.)
With our class, we focus on how people who choose to use tobacco or alcohol are GOOD PEOPLE who are making a unhealthy choice. I stressed the importance of respecting parents and their choices. I hope you will listen if they choose to highlight the dangers.

What Fun Events are Coming Up?
Wellness Event- Celebrating Passions!
The Tuesday before Fall break, the morning will be a time where each teacher gets to share their passion with the students. The students will get to select their top few favorites and will be assigned 2 sessions to join based off of numbers in each room. This year, I will be helping Mrs. Jefferson with the Wellness in coloring as it has become the new hot topic across the country with students and adults! Now they sell coloring books for adults (lots of detail) to encourage taking a moment from the stress that comes from being an adult! Some other passions with our staff include basketball, gardening, make up, zumba, etc. Check with your student to see what they chose!
