Rationale:

I have chosen to show you how lead a class because it is the main task that a boxing coach carries out as part of their weekly schedule . It is important that i am paying close attention to each boxer while they are training as well as of the time length of each workout out so i do not accidentally cause someone to over or under train. In addition, there can be any where from 6 to 12 people who attend each class, so you need to prepare yourself to be focused and energetic.

Details of Activity:

1. The Warm Up- This is to get the blood flowing through the body so that no one feels stiff, and it loosens up the body. There is a variety of warm up exercises my coach/employer teaches which i will present to you the day of the presentation.

2. Motion routine punching- This is when we all stand in front of the mirror, and perfect our punching combinations.

3. Circuit Exercises- A number of stations with different intense drills and exercises, depending on the number of people who attend the class.

4. All speed heavy bag routine- this is a routine of different punches, focusing all on the speed of punches.

5. All power heavy bag routine- Similar to all speed, expect we only focus on the the power and timing of the punches. Also, we add a little more complex combinations.

7. Pad work- This is where we test, and practice our punching combinations, but on the pads the coach wheres on his or her hands.

8. Thank boxers for participating in the class.
