I Make a Difference
I'd like to give the "I Make a Difference" award to one of the ECSE rockstars -- Rachel Irwin.
She is an impressive teacher, a 24-7 team player & a tech wiz. After quickly being transferred from Cooke ES to Trantwood, Rachel fully jumped into our smaller classroom in terms of square footage BUT larger in terms of energy & challenges. Rachel's ongoing ability & passion to: put our "special" children first; hear & try new ideas; support her colleagues; & share her savviness w/boardmaker, google docs, data collection etc w/any interested staff Makes a Difference to the Trantwood community... Cecelia Soscia

The Power of Morning Meeting...kudos to Bayside Elementary!
In case you missed this email from Mrs. Lee...
Dear Friends,
I have been given permission to share that one of our students, Dalton Fox in Ms. Catt’s class, has recently been diagnosed has Ewing Sarcoma, a type of bone cancer, of his tibia and will be needing our support through his surgeries and chemotherapy. I will be putting an envelope in the main office if you would like to contribute to a collection for Dalton and his family, I’d like to make a basket of books, gift cards, and snacks for Dalton and his family to help sustain them through this challenging time. Ms. Fox also mentioned another way to help Dalton is to donate blood at Trantwood’s upcoming blood drive, as children on chemotherapy need frequent blood transfusions and platelet transfusions. Your blood donation would not necessarily be supplying blood to Dalton, but it could be helping another child with cancer.
Thanks for all you do to support our children!
