Dear Fryelands Families,
We are down to the final 4 weeks of the school year! Please continue your distance learning school routines with your child. We need your help in maintaining your child’s practice of reading, writing, and math at home. Your partnership in educating our children together during this time has been amazing. Thank You!!!

Keeping Children Healthy While School Is Out
In the midst of a global pandemic, families are looking for ways to ensure their children are healthy, happy, and safe. This month's Report to Parents from the National Association of Elementary School Principals, offers guidance from the CDC on how families can best ensure their child's well-being when at home.
Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration for the 2020-21 school year is available online!
If you have a child who will be 5 years old by August 31, 2020, please register for kindergarten now. In order to appropriately staff our kindergarten classes for next year, we need incoming kindergarten students to enroll as soon as possible.
We know that many families are having difficulties obtaining immunization records during this difficult time, a Certificate of Immunzation (CIS) can be printed from MyIR, which is a free Department of Health online tool that allows families to view and print their official immunization records themselves. Go to https://wa.myir.net/register to begin the sign-up process.
We also have paper registration packets available for pick-up in front of the school between the hours of 11:30am-1:30pm Monday through Friday.

Lunches
Lunches continue to be available to pick-up from every elementary school (M-F) from 11:30 - 1:30. This is for ALL children ages 0 - 18. You can stay in your car and just drive up or if you want to get out and take a nice walk - come to Fryelands and get your needed lunches. This is free of charge for EVERYONE - and there is no registration needed. Think of this as a way to take something off your plate. If not having to make lunch for the children will help you out, then please take advantage of these lunches. We love seeing all the kids, so it is good for us too when you choose to come for lunch! If you are unable to get to Fryelands, Monroe School District is also providing lunch deliveries at several bus stop locations. See district website for locations.
Free and Reduced Lunch Form/Reduced Internet Rates
As our families adjust to the temporary "new normal" and the district is handing out chromebooks for remote learning, we want to make sure you were aware that families who qualify for Free and Reduced meals can get discounted internet rates from some carriers.
If you have already qualified for free and/or reduced lunch but need your confirmation letter, please email Tammy Gregory (gregoryt@monroe.wednet.edu) and she will send you a letter via email. If you don't have email you can call Tammy Gregory at the district office (360-804-2510) and leave a message and she will mail you a copy. She will need the students' full name in the message.
Many of our families income has been drastically reduced during this pandemic. If this is true for you, you can complete the Free/Reduced application at any time during the school year. We have attached the forms if you need them. Parents can return them to the school, leave them in the drop box at the district office, mail them to the district office or email them to gregoryt@monroe.wednet.edu.
Another benefit for families is their qualification will carry over for the first month of school which will help as families get back on their feet. Please let us know if we can help you in any way!
