January News from the Burlington County Alternative School
BCAS ENTERS NEW BUILDING IN 2017!
We are pleased to announce that the Burlington County Alternative School has relocated to a brand new facility located at 1020 Briggs Road, Mount Laurel, NJ, near Rowan College at Burlington County.
The Burlington County Special Services School District administration has worked hard on this important and complex project. Thanks to the support of the BCSS/BCIT Board of Education and the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders, our BCAS students have access to state-of the-art facilities featuring:
- Double the previous square-footage
- A new computer lab
- A technology lounge
- A new science lab
- A fully equipped kitchen for preparing meals on site
- A large multipurpose/fitness room
- Ten spacious classrooms outfitted with new technology
- An upgraded safety and security system with a kiosk for guest sign-in
- A larger, upgraded health office
- Addition of 50 computers to the school’s existing technology
The partnership between RCBC and BCAS has been strengthened and our students are eligible to enroll in college courses at no cost. Students are able to earn credit towards their high school diploma and their associate’s degree.
The faculty and staff at BCAS are excited to embark upon this transition with our students. This new facility and the amenities it offers will allow our staff to continue to provide top notch programming and services for our students. We are honored to serve the students of Burlington County.
