Cullman City Schools
The Week in Review - October 5, 2018
Thank You Custodians!
We want to send a special thank you to all of our custodians this week, but we are thankful for them every day! We appreciate your efforts to make our campuses clean and safe for our students!
All of us at CCS share the sentiments shown below!
Spann at WES
ABC 33/40 weatherman, James Spann, visited WES this week. Spann is a great speaker and the faculty and students had a great time! Thanks James!
CHS Student Featured in CATA Program Spotlight
CHS senior Anna Ramirez was recently featured in the Cullman Area Career Academy Program Spotlight. Anna attends CATA and is enrolled in the cosmetology program. Congratulations, Anna!
Tech Talk
CCPS 1st grade teachers spent some time this week talking about the use of technology in literacy and math centers. Authentic tech integration can redefine the learning process!
Ready, Aim: Archery Tryouts Begin
Archery Team try-outs began this week. Students were excited and demonstrated great skill. We are looking forward to another great season for the 2018 Archery Team.
CMS FFA Participates in Fair Parade
CMS FFA was represented by about 30 students in the Cullman County Fair Parade on Saturday. They prepared a float that represented CMS, FFA and CCS well! Great job!
Tasty Treats
Mrs. Kelly's students had a "book tasting" this week with Chef Waldrop from the WES Library Media Center serving as guest host. A book tasting is a great way to introduce books to readers.
Oktoberfest Guest
We had a special visitor this week at CCPS. Burgermeister Ben Harrison popped in to see some of our students.
Fun and Learning at Oktoberfest
EES students had fun at Oktoberfest! More importantly, they learned so much about our town's heritage.
Spirit Week at CMS
Spirit Week is always a favorite time for CMS students! The dress-up days and friendly competitions result in the building of school pride and spirit.
West Fest
West Fest was held last night. Set-up began early with a lot of help from our West family. Also helping out were CHS Leo Club and Cullman Park and Rec! Special thanks to the West PTO members who worked so hard!
Outside the Classroom Walls
Coach Kyle Morris' Science of Alabama History Class at CHS enjoyed the Moundville Native American Festival this week. This was a great opportunity for this class to experience some of the earliest Alabama history.
Feeling the Love
Mr. Wiggins and Mr. Gragg were feeling the love when they received these great appreciation gifts from EES PTO and students.
